Journalist of Vesti newspaper dies in Kiev

AKIPRESS.COM - journalist Correspondent of the Kiev section of the Vesti newspaper Vyacheslav Veremei died in the Kiev hospital emergency department on February 19 in the morning, the official website of the publication reported.

The publication wrote that late in the evening in Kiev, masked men opened fire on the journalist. Doctors tried to safe his life for several hours, however Vermei died on the operating table.

Vyacheslav died from the gunshot wound to the chest. Death occurred due to blood loss and injuries not compatible with life.

Journalist Veremei went to work after a prolonged hospital vacation on February 18. A month ago, on January 20th, Vyacheslav Veremei received eye injuries during the assault on Khrushevsk, Ukraine.

Vesti expressed condolences to family of Vyacheslav Veremei.
