Uzbek athlete sets another Asian record at 2014 IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Dubai

AKIPRESS.COM - IPC_logo Another Paralympic athlete from Uzbekistan Yokuthon Holbekova has set a new Asian record in the 800 m track racing in the women's category at the 2014 IPC Athletics Grand Prix FAZZA International Athletics Competition in Dubai.

She has won a gold medal with the result of 2 min 22.62 sec.

The day before, Fakhriddin Khamraev, set a new Asian record in the 1500 m track racing in the men’s category with the result of 4.03:94 minutes.

Ubaidulla Imomkulov has run 800 m track race for 2 min 07.20 secs and has won a gold medal as well.

Doniyor Soliyev has won silver medal in long jump with the result of 6.56 m. Miran Sakhatov was fourth in long jump with the result of 5.49 m.

According to the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan, 8 athletes from Uzbekistan compete in the event in which athletes from around 40 countries are taking part.
