Days of Belarusian Culture to be held in France from March to September

AKIPRESS.COM - eiffel tower The Days of Belarusian Culture will be held in various cities of France from March to September 2014, BelTA reported today.

The arranger of the event is the Embassy of Belarus in Paris under support of a number of state organizations and cultural establishments of Belarus and France. The Days of Belarusian Culture will become Belarus’ biggest cultural event in France.

Twenty-six cities of France will host more than 20 different programs aimed at the presentation of the Belarusian theater, choreography, music, art, cinema and literature. More than 200 figures of Belarusian culture will partake in the event.

The cultural forum will start with the Days of Belarusian Cinema that will take place in French Lyon on 20-23 March. On 21 March, Paris will host a demonstration of the joint works of French designer Jean Marie Pujol and Belarusian designer Larisa Noury Shakinko.

The Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus will tour France with its Swan Lake play from 25 March to 4 May. 32 plays will be shown in the biggest cities of France.

A rich program is also expected to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Belarus’ UNESCO membership.

Apart from that, as part of the Days of Belarusian Culture several cities of France (Lyon, Brest, Toulouse, Strasbourg and others) will host presentations of Belarus’ trade, economic and investment cooperation potential which will be organized by the Embassy of Belarus in France. More than 50,000 travel and information brochures about Belarus in the French language will be distributed during the Days. Brochures will contain the information on four French travel operators offering tours to Belarus.
