Japanese Government to hand over agricultural equipment for $94,000 to women's cooperative in northern Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Фото-Пресс-релиз Ambassador of Japan Takayuki Koike and Jany-Jer rural municipality governor Nasirdin Tezekbayev on March 20 signed the grant contract for creation of women's agricultural cooperative and improvement of agricultural equipment in the given rural municipality of Chui region.

The document was signed in the framework of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, the Embassy of Japan said.

Jany-Jer rural municipality will receive 3 tractors, 3 front-end loaders, 3 mineral fertilizer spreaders for $94,400.

The project will be carried out in cooperation with JICA project on spread of organic farming in Kyrgyzstan, which is run by the Japanese NGO “HokkaidoBiomassResearch”.

The project will support trainings for women to teach them how to use agricultural equipment and to apply the latest organic fertilizers technologies.
