Session of Council of Eurasian Economic Commission discusses development of Customs Union and Single Economic Space

AKIPRESS.COM - sagintayev A regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission with participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has been held in Moscow on March 27-28.

The meeting discussed further development of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. One of the main issues on agenda was the preparation of a draft Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. Joint activities on the draft Treaty, as well as provisions designed to meet the mutual interests of member states and the further integration were considered too.

In key sectors of the economy such as industrial and agro-industrial policy, monetary policy, financial markets, the parties came to a common understanding, laying in the draft Treaty opportunities for mutually beneficial development of these industries.

The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation in the development of competition, transport, energy and natural monopolies. In general, there was achieved significant progress on the main aspects of mutually beneficial cooperation, primeminister.kz reported.
