First semifinal of Eurovision 2014 to be held today

AKIPRESS.COM - eurovision_2014 The first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen will take place at the B&W Hallerne on 6 May. It will choose the first ten participants of the final show, according to BelTA.

All in all, representatives of 16 countries will perform in the first semifinal:

1. Armenia – Aram MP3 “Not alone”

2. Latvia – Aarzemnieki “Cake to bake”

3. Estonia – Tanja “Amazing”

4. Sweden – Sanna Nielsen “Undo”

5. Iceland – Pollaponk “No Prejudice”

6. Albania – Hersi Matmuja “One Night’s Anger”

7. Russia – Tolmachyovy Sisters “Shine”

8. Azerbaijan – Dilara Kazimova “Start a Fire”

9. Ukraine – Mariya Yaremchuk “Tick-Tock”

10. Belgium – Axel Hirsoux “Mother”

11. Moldova – Cristina Scarlat “Wild Soul”

12. San Marino – Valentina Monetta “Maybe”

13. Portugal – Suzy “Quero ser tua”

14. The Netherlands – The Common Linnets “Calm After the Storm”

15. Montenegro – Sergej Cetkovic “Moj svijet”

16. Hungary – Andras Kallay-Saunders “Running”

Today only residents of the countries partaking in the first semifinal will have a right to vote. On 10 May during the final show, residents of all 37 countries will participate in the voting.

The Big Five countries (Italy, Spain, Germany, France and United Kingdom) together with Denmark, the winner of Eurovision 2013, automatically get into the grand final.
