Turkmenistan harvests over 800,000 tons of grain

AKIPRESS.COM - grains More than 800,000 tons of grain were collected in Turkmenistan. The rate increased the planned volume almost by half, according to AzerNews.

Thus, 243,000 tons of grain – instead of planned 350,000 tons – were harvested by farmers of the only Lebap province.

The total area of the country's grain field amounts to 860,000 hectares.

Turkmenistan collected 1.6 million tons in 2013, or by 400,000 tons more than in 2012. The country started exporting surplus of food grain in 2010.
