Turkmenistan's Council of Elders to convene in Turkmenabat

AKIPRESS.COM - meeting The Council of Elders of Turkmenistan will convene for a regular meeting on October 20 in the city of Turkmenabat of Lebap province.

The advisory body is convened to involve Turkmenistan’s elders in the issues relating to public life, efficient use of “their rich life experience and wisdom and strengthening the unity and solidarity of the people of the country” in line with the decree signed by President Berdymukhamedov.

The Council of Elders is the body that reviews important issues relating to public life and finding optimal solutions. It includes representatives from all five provinces of the country and Ashgabat.

Their meetings may be attended by representatives of government organizations, public associations, mass media and others.
