Uzbekistan's Artel to launch cooperation with Mitsubishi Corporation

AKIPRESS.COM - The company of Artel, a domestic manufacturer of household appliances in Uzbekistan, held a meeting with representatives of Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) in its headquarters last week.

The Japanese delegation was headed by Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation in CIS countries, Takahisa Miyauchi.

Following the talks, the sides signed a memorandum of understanding and discussed further cooperation.

Artel briefed that the search for a reliable partner has been conducted for already over a year. The first stage of cooperation includes production of air conditioners in Tashkent, intended for the markets of Central Asia, Middle and Far East, the South American continent, as well as the CIS countries.

In addition, it is reported that Artel together with Japanese experts is planning to equip the production with modern, high-quality and automated equipment, qualified personnel and technology which will meet the tough requirements of Mitsubishi Corporation.

Commissioning of the project is scheduled for the end of 2015. The goods will be produced under the trademark of Mitsubishi. Other details of the negotiations are not disclosed.
