German official, Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations consider bilateral ties

Bishkek (AKIpress) - Representative of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany for Eastern Europe, Transcaucasia and Central Asia Cord Meier-Klodt made a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan on 24 July 2014.

The sides considered prospects of further expansion of mutually beneficial trade, investment and financial-technical relations between two countries.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Germany reached $591.2 million, including $45.8 million of exports, and $545.4 million of imports.

Currently, there are 99 enterprises with German investment in Uzbekistan, including 29 with 100% foreign capital.

The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan accredited 39 companies of Germany.
