AKIPRESS.COM - The working meeting of friendship groups of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan and French National Assembly took place in Paris, the Parliament's press service said.

The agenda of the meeting including prospects of interparliamentary cooperation, exchange of practical experience.

The delegation of Kyrgyzstan held meetings with officials of the French Foreign Ministry, visited a hydropower company supplying electricity to southern France, became familiarized with work of the Justice Coopération Internationale, which will be involved into implementation of a 3-year project on promotion of rule of law in Kyrgyzstan. Under this project the EU allocated EUR 9.5 million for enhancing oversight mechanisms and judiciary reform in the country with the objective to strengthen the respect of Rule of Law by promoting transparency, accountability and

anti-corruption measures with 10 million Euro assistance of the European Union.

Representatives of the French Foreign Ministry announced about opening of the visa bureau in Bishkek in the nearest time, which will issue visas to citizens of Kyrgyzstan willing to travel to France. Opening of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in France was discussed among other issues.
