Pakistan, Turkmenistan set to step up trade and economic cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM - Mederov in islamabad Finance Minister of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss development of bilateral ties, Pakistan Observer reported.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan is keen to explore new avenues for cooperation in energy, commercial and economic fields for mutual benefit of the two countries. He added that the Government of Pakistan had introduced economic reforms through the budgetary measures, and positive results were achieved.

In order to strengthen the bilateral ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, the Finance Minister called for cooperation development in various fields.

Meredov, in turn, voiced the readiness to expand trade and economic cooperation with Pakistan.
