AKIPRESS.COM - Trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan amounted to $3.2 billion in 2013, Zawya reported citing the Turkmen Deputy Minister of Economy and Development, Serdar Atayev at the Iran-Turkmenistan Trade Conference in Ashgabat.
In particular, Turkmenistan's exports to Iran amounted to $2.08 billion and imports – to $1.11 billion.
Turkmen export items to Iran are oil and gas byproducts, electricity, techno-engineering equipments and textiles, while Iran's export include food, chemical products, petrochemicals, techno-engineering equipments and services, metals, construction materials and cement.
“Iranian investors have established 147 companies in Turkmenistan. Also, 88 projects worth $1.3 billion are underway by Iranian companies in the country,” Atayev added.
