Two killed in knife attack at school in China

AKIPRESS.COM - police line Officials say a 40-year-old man stabbed students and teachers with a knife at a school in central China, killing two people and injuring four before jumping to his death.

Chengguan township official Deng Yunshan says the attack took place Monday morning at the Dongfang primary school in Chengguan, a town in Hubei province.

Deng says the man jumped to his death from a fourth-floor window after the attack, the AP reported.

He says an investigation into the incident is underway. No further details were immediately available.

China has suffered a series of attacks on kindergartens and grade schools, and the culprits often are identified as mentally ill or as being angry at society
