AKIPRESS.COM - The results of the art contest "Book of the Year" among publishers of the CIS countries have been summed up as part of the XXVII International Book Fair in Moscow. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s book "Bird of Happiness" published by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan was awarded a special diploma of the competent international jury, reports Turkmenistan.ru.

Eighty publications from nine CIS countries participated in the contest. It took place in several stages during the year and the best books were chosen as a result of two rounds of voting. Experts from participating countries evaluated publications by major components of quality. Standing up to serious competition and meeting the exacting requirements of the jury, book “Bird of Happiness” was named among the winners.

Attending the awards ceremony, representatives of the world's largest publishing houses, experts in the field of graphic arts, literary critics, laureates of previous years, connoisseurs of the art of book publishing noted the harmony of the content, design and graphic make of the book by the President of Turkmenistan.

The contest concluding ceremony was traditionally held at the exhibition space of the Moscow International Book Fair, 27th in a row. More than one thousand publishers from 63 countries participate in the exhibition. Its program includes about 500 events. It is expected that at least half a million people will be able to visit the fair. Turkmenistan is represented by the exposition of the State Publishing Service. It is for the fifth time that Turkmenistan participates in this major international forum.

The stand of the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan features several dozen publications in Turkmen, Russian and English languages.
