AKIpress News Agency opens regional office in Karakol

AKIPRESS.COM - Information group of the AKIpress News Agency has opened a regional office in Issyk-Kul region on July 16.

Opening of the regional office in the town of Karakol attracted Chief of the Issyk-Kul Police Department Emilbek Saliyev, mayor of the town Ryskul Kalygulov, acting chairman of the town council Aftandil Abdykadyrov, and others.

Head of the Issyk-Kul Police Department noted the work of the news agency in the region. He added that police try to actively cooperate with the media.

“I congratulate you on the opening of the office. This is the beginning of a very large deal. After all, public awareness is the most important thing. Our cooperation will continue. We are actively working together especially during the summer tourist season,” said Saliyev.

“Today office of AKIpress in Karakol is opening, and we are very happy. Most importantly is that the public receives unbiased information through your publications. Thanks to our cooperation, some problems of our society are being solved. Stay strong in the pursuit of your goals and achieve greater goals, open even more offices in the regions,” said the mayor of Karakol.

The acting chairman of the town council wished fruitful work and success to the news agency.

Representation of the AKIpress News Agency was opened within the framework of Turmush.kg, a project on local news about everyday life of the people of Kyrgyzstan in the regions.

Staff of the office will be expanded thanks to Turmush correspondents in all districts and rural municipalities of Issyk-Kul region.

Turmush.kg was launched on February 1, 2014 and now covers all towns of Kyrgyzstan, including the villages and districts of Batken, Jalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul, Naryn, Talas, Osh and Chui regions. Daily, more than 300 news are published in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.

Turmush now has nearly 100 employees across the country and continues to grow. Active and creative citizens of Kyrgyzstan – the patriots of the country – are being hired.

Turmush offers young people in the regions to join the project team and improve the situation in Kyrgyzstan all together.
