AKIPRESS.COM - A meeting between the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan and the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) took place on May 23.
The participants discussed issues related to emerging problems in the operation of electronic voting machines, as well as the necessity to conduct training courses for the use of these machines during the upcoming elections to the local councils in fall.
The guests promised to announce as many proposals as possible for the proper use of the election equipment.
A-WEB was established in 2013, and it is the first global organization of election management bodies. The A-WEB Secretariat provides training programs for election officials and undertakes country programs at the request of member organization, providing support during the election cycle to boost election management capacity.
