AKIPRESS.COM - Oman and Kazakhstan relations are getting stronger due to the frequent high-level official visits, according to Yerzhan Mukash, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Oman, Muscat Daily cites.
Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah is expected to visit Kazakhstan in the near future.
Addressing the media on Sunday, Mukash said: “The expected official visit of [Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah]... will further contribute in expanding the relations. We are looking at progress on issues like the mutual visa waiver, export of agricultural products and meat.”
He added that the gross direct investments from 2005 to the first half of 2015 from Oman to Kazakhstan amounted to US$253.2 mln. The main products exported from Kazakhstan to Oman are grain, steel coil, tubular products, etc.The Ambassador also praised the cooperation between Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and leading universities of Kazakhstan in terms of cultural and humanitarian sphere.
