AKIPRESS.COM - An electioneering campaign has been officially launched in Mongolia on June 9, according to News.mn.
The total of 498 candidates from 12 political parties, 3 political alliances and 69 independent candidates have been registered and confirmed for the forthcoming parliamentary elections. 129 of them are women. 215 of them will stand in the elections in the regions, while the remaining 283 – in Ulaanbaatar.
The elections will be held on 29 June.
In accordance with the Mongolian law on elections, electioneering will last until June 27, during 18 days only.
