UNDP urges Kyrgyzstan to set realistic date of putting into force law developed as part of judicial reform

AKIPRESS.COM - rule of law-justice-courtKyrgyzstan should determine a realistic date for enactment of the law developed in the framework of the judicial reform, said Lucio Valerio Sarandrea, the Chief Technical Adviser on Rule of Law for UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic on July 26 at the first meeting of the working group on development of the bill on introduction of the regulatory legal acts within the framework of the judicial reform in Bishkek.

The working group developing the given draft law will face two difficulties — training specialists and financing, according to the UNDP representative.

Thus, the work on judicial reform will depend on the opportunities of the Ministry of Finance, he said.

Lucio Valerio Sarandera also offered the working group to set a realistic time for implementing the relevant documents to avoid mistakes of other countries that move the deadlines each time.
