AKIPRESS.COM - People of Turkmenistan celebrated the Day of Turkmen Melon. The main festivities marking Day of Turkmen Melon took place at the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex on Sunday evening.

The program of festive events included a large-scale exhibition of agricultural products. Melons from all the regions of Turkmenistan featured at the exhibition.

The festivities culminated in a ceremony of awarding the winners of the melon growers’ contest that was held in all the provinces of Turkmenistan. Best melon growers and breeders were awarded prizes on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Celebrations of Day of Turkmen Melon took place in all the cities and villages of the country.
