AKIPRESS.COM - Putting the final touches on his Olympic legacy, Usain Bolt won the Olympic 200m gold medal Thursday night in Rio. It was likely the last individual Olympic race for the eight-time gold medalist.
Bolt crossed the line in 19.78 seconds, his slowest time in his three Olympic 200m finals.
With three Olympic gold medals in both the 100m and 200m, Bolt became the third athlete in Olympic history to win two individual events at three Olympics, joining Michael Phelps and Ray Ewry.
Andre De Grasse finished second in 20.02 seconds and France’s Christophe Lemaitre earned the bronze medal.
