AKIPRESS.COM - Mr. Jagat Pratap Nadda, Union Minister of India for Health and Family Welfare, revealed that over 80% of the drugs used globally for combating HIV/AIDS are supplied by Indian pharmaceutical firms, reports India Now Business and Economy.
The Union Minister pointed out that the proliferation of low-cost generic medicines has helped developing countries gain better access to HIV treatments. India actively collaborates with a range of partner countries and organizations, including UNAIDS (the joint UN programme on HIV/AIDS), to help fight the scourge of the aids epidemic.
