OSCE opens training center to improve quality of environmental monitoring

AKIPRESS.COM - OSCE new center The OSCE Center in Bishkek supported the opening of a training center in Osh with the aim of increasing the capacity of state and public inspectors of the State Inspectorate of Environmental and Technical Safety and the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry.

The center is supplied with necessary equipment for organizing full-scale training activities for specialists of the named state agencies and employees of the Aarhus Center in Osh. Experts of the training center in cooperation with the State Inspectorate of Environmental and Technical Safety staff will train the freelance inspectors on the provision of environmental and technical safety.

“The training сenter in Osh will improve the quality of environmental monitoring in the region and will allow for the establishment of closer cooperation with the local Aarhus Center,” said Dmitry Prudtskikh, Environmental Officer at the OSCE Center in Bishkek.

Medetbek Mametov, Head of the Osh regional department of the State Inspectorate of Environmental and Technical Safety, noted that the opening of the center will allow to increase the material and technical capacity of the regional department and the professional skills of its personnel.
