AKIPRESS.COM - The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Mongolia co-hosted the “Financing Opportunities for Agribusiness” roundtable discussion with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Schulze Global Investments, and the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia.
The roundtable featured keynote presentations from senior representatives of OPIC and Schulze Global Investments Limited, as well as comprehensive discussions on OPIC financing opportunities for Mongolia’s agribusinesses. Over 20 AmCham members participated in the roundtable and attended a Q&A session and enjoyed networking opportunities with the special guests.
“Financing is consistently the key challenge facing Mongolia’s agriculture industry,” noticed Jay Liotta, chairman of AmCham Mongolia, during his remarks at the roundtable.
Associate Director of OPIC, Ajay Rao added, “OPIC supports the development of agribusiness to support diversification in the Mongolian economy and to provide support for the livelihoods of those working in rural areas.”
