No alcohol allowed in Mongolia on October 19-20 due to elections

AKIPRESS.COM - alcohol in public Due to upcoming election day of Citizens Representatives’ Khurals of Aimags, the Capital City, Soums and Districts on Oct. 19, a decree was issued prohibiting any public event and selling of alcohol on Oct. 19-20, according to GoGo Mongolia.

The decree states authorities will not give permit to organize any public events. Other cultural, entertainment and sports activity will not take place on this day.

Oct. 19 is officially a non-working day, according to the law of Mongolia. Any organization working on this day is obliged to provide employees with an opportunity to vote.

Alcohol won't be sold to prevent criminal activities.
