Germany's Physics and Technology Institute carries out energy efficiency improvement project in Mongolia

AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia's Deputy PM U.Khurelsukh welcomed delegates from the German Federal Institute of Physics and Technology on October 27 to discuss the ongoing joint project on improving quality infrastructure in energy sector of Mongolia.

The project is being co-implemented by the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology. It aims at improving energy saving through sophisticating the quality management and laboratory operations, bringing them in line with the European and global standards.

The National Quality Program for 2016-2020 was developed in frames of the EU Program on Promoting the Sophistication of the Mongolian Standardization System.

It is important to coordinate the Program with the implementation of the Project on improving quality infrastructure in energy sector of Mongolia, said the Deputy PM and pledged all means of support from the Government of Mongolia to make the project accomplishment smooth.

The project costing EUR 600,000 is charted for three years.
