AKIPRESS.COM - The Grand Prix Winner of the 15th International Tchaikovsky Competition and soloist of Mariinsky Theater Ganbaatar Ariunbaatar was awarded the Order of Chinggis Khaan by the President of Mongolia.

The high state prize was given on the occasion of the 854th anniversary of the birth of the Great Genghis Khan, the Day of Mongolian Pride.

The Chinggis Khaan Order is awarded each year to a person, who has made a priceless contribution to consolidating the independence, sovereignty and national unity, safeguarding and passing down the cultural and historic heritages to younger generations and promoting Mongolia's prestige.
