Indian government launches anti-stress mobile app

AKIPRESS.COM - appUnion Minister of Health and Family Welfare of India Jagat Prakash Nadda has launched an anti-stress mobile application.

‘No-More Tension’ provides information about effects, symptoms and management of stress. The application allows the user to measure their stress level and learn various techniques like yoga and meditation to reduce the stress from their lives.

Currently, the application is available for download on Google play store and App store and will be available on the Windows platform soon.

Once downloaded, a person registers his/her vitals (name, age, weight, height). It also has a stress meter, a list of indicators of stress and solutions of how to get rid of it.

Addressing the media, he said that the Ministry of Health is working on the theme – ‘Catch Them Young’ and taking steps towards behaviour change amidst the young, to keep away from habits that cause non-communicable diseases.

He added that through pictorial books, health messages shall be brought out that will educate the children and youth about healthy living habits.

“These digital initiatives will bring us closer to people and enable us to reach those who are in need of our services the most,” said Mr Nadda.
