AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan received the Second Secretary of the Japanese Embassy, Kazuyoshi Yamagiwa, on 25 November.

During the talks, the Uzbek CEC provided data on preparation and organization of the presidential elections, to be held on 4 December 2016, as well as on the changes in the electoral law of Uzbekistan.

CEC added that international organizations and observers from foreign states, including Japan, were invited to observe the presidential elections.

The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest then.
