AKIPRESS.COM - Press office of Akorda, Kazakh president's palace, has posted a historic photo and a video showing Nursultan Nazarbayev's first inauguration dated back to December 10, 1991.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has been ruling the oil-rich Central Asian country since 1989, when he was named First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR.
He was elected Kazakhstan's first president following its independence from the Soviet Union in December 1991.
In April 2015, Nazarbayev was re-elected as he won presidential election by a landslide (98% of the vote).
