AKIPRESS.COM - The State Concern Turkmenhimiya (Turkmen Chemicals) will build a detergent plant with the annual capacity of 20,000 tons.

A company to design and build the plant will be selected on the basis of the international tender that will be held on February 7.

Chemical industry is considered one of Turkmenistan's most rapidly developing sectors of the national economy.

In January-November 2016, the production volumes of the State Concern increased by 15 percent compared to the same period of 2015.

The development of domestic substitutes production decreased imports of detergents by 11.2 percent, according to the country's statistics office.
