AKIPRESS.COM - Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov was appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to UK by Kazakh President on December 30, the press service of Akorda reported.
The President of Kazakhstan thanked Idrissov for his work he's done as foreign minister, read the statement.
Idrissov during the 2002-2007 period of time has held the post of Kazakh Ambassador to UK, Sweden, Norway and Ireland in combination.
He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan twice in 1999-2002 and 2012-2016.
On December 28, he was sacked as foreign minister.
The new Kazakh FM now is Kairat Abdrakhmanov, who has been Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria since March 2011, 2016.
