Ulaanbaatar city bans alcohol following deaths

AKIPRESS.COM - To add to the health woes caused by the 'killer smog', Ulaanbaatar now is dealing with another acute problem - alcohol poisoning.

Five people died after drinking alcohol on January 16.

Officials at Ulaanbaatar City Hall have taken the prompt decision to examine all alcohol products on sale in the Mongolian capital.

J.Batbayasgalan, Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, has announced a temporary ban on selling and serving of alcohol beverages in the Mongolian capital since January 17, reports news.mn.
