Three Boeing 747 aircrew members buried in Turkey

AKIPRESS.COM - A ceremony of farewell of three members of the Boeing 747 aircrew took place on January 10 at the Ataköy Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey, Turkish media report.

After the ceremony, the bodies were taken to the home towns for burial.

Pilot Ibrahim Gürcan Diranci, co-pilot Kazım Öndül, and cargo transportation specialist İhsan Koca were buried yesterday, according to Haberler.com.

The body of the fourth aircrew member Melih Aslan is still in Kyrgyzstan. The DNA test must be done first to confirm the body belongs to Melih Asla. 

ACT Airlines' Boeing 747 (wet leased by Turkish Airlines) cargo plane crashed into village near Manas airport on January 16. 38 people were killed, including 4 aircrew members.

The plane was en route from Hong Kong to Istanbul and was scheduled for a stopover at Manas airport.
