Mongolian peacekeepers receive medals from NATO

AKIPRESS.COM - nato Mongolian peacekeepers have received the honour of being awarded with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Medal for taking part in Operation ‘Decisive Support’ in Afghanistan, reports news.mn.

The ceremony took place in the city of New Kabul in Afghanistan.

Many important guests, including Brigadier-General Nicolas Pond, Commander of the Kabul Security Force and Captain Joshua Thompson, chief of New Kabul Base attended the award ceremony.

The Mongolian peacekeepers staged fighting performances and introduced a traditional Mongolian ‘ger’ (yurt) at the end of the ceremony.
