Turkmen Cabinet dissolves as Berdymukhamedov was sworn in as President

AKIPRESS.COM - Ceremonial inauguration of re-elected President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov took place in Ruhiyet Palace on February 17, reports the state news agency.

In accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, President signed the Resolution on Dissolution of the Government. The members of the Government were instructed to carry out their duties until the adoption of new composition of the cabinet of Ministers.

During inauguration, Berdymukhamedov spoke to the participants and outlined main provisions of internal and foreign policy of the country for the next seven years.

"I am firmly confident that together with the people with all of you, respected compatriots, we will solve successfully set targets and make one of the prosperous states of the world out of our country," the President of Turkmenistan said, having expressed for one more time sincere gratitude to all constituents who took active part in the elections.

"The elected Leader assured that he would take all efforts, knowledge, experience and abilities to justify the trust of the compatriots. I believe to my people, to its huge creative potential, to its inexhaustible capabilities and to its happy and prosperous future," the Head of the State said.

At the end of the inauguration ceremony, under the sounds of ceremonial march, the Guard of Honour took out the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the Colour of the President of Turkmenistan, the Constitution of Turkmenistan and Holly Koran to be placed at Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex.
