AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan men's ice hockey players will face the Philippines in a group round match of the 2017 Winter Asian Games in Japan on February 21.

Kyrgyzstanis are in Group A along with Kuwait, Philippines, and Qatar.

On February 18, Kyrgyzstanis took victory over Kuwait in their group round with the score 5:0.

Kyrgyzstani sportsmen are competing in the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo and Obihiro, Japan from February 19 to 26. The country is scheduled to compete in four sports (four disciplines).

The team consists of 33 athletes, a drop of 19 athletes from the previous edition of the games in 2011.
