AKIPRESS.COM - The General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan has launched probe against several employees of the Civil Registry Office of Bishkek into abuse of functions and forgery, reports the General Prosecutor's Office press service.

56 citizens of Kyrgyzstan illegally changed their Kyrgyz names into Korean in order to move to South Korea for living and working with the help of the Bishkek Civil Registry Office workers, the statement said.

"The inspection has revealed that the suspects working in the Civil Registry Office in Leninsky, Sverdlovsky, Pervomaysky and Oktober districts of Bishkek were illegally and fictitiously annulling/registering marriages since September 2016, having changed the names of 56 citizens of Kyrgyzstan," the statement said.

In collusion with representatives of the company B.A. LTD, the suspects allegedly organized barrier-free entering to the South Korean territory for the Kyrgyz citizens.

Investigation is underway.
