AKIPRESS.COM - A talent show on the occasion of the International Women's Day celebrated in Kyrgyzstan on March 8 was held in women's prison, which located in Stepnoe village of Chui region, on March 6.

Inmates, prison staff, and journalists gathered in the events hall of the prison to watch the show.

Several detachments took part in the competition showing their talents evaluated by judges in the scale of up to 5 points.

Shoola representing the 4th detachment claimed the tittle of Miss Spring 2017, winning the best handmade costume nomination. She made her dress out of 1,800 napkins.

The 4th detachment claimed the victory, the 3rd detachment took the second place, and the 1st detachment won the third place.

One of the inmates said the participants have been preparing for the show for two months.

Head of the prison Amangazy Iskenderov commented that they often organize these kind of events.

There are about 300 women in the prison, most of them were convicted for fraud, drugs and murders, he said.
