AKIPRESS.COM - A solemn joint reception was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on March 9 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the membership of Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) in the UN.

President of the United Nations General Assembly Peter Thomson has addressed the guests.

Permanent Representatives of the UN member states, heads and experts of various UN structures took part in the reception, reports the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan. 

Within the framework of the event a photo exhibition devoted to the cooperation of the Central Asian countries with the UN was organized.
