Turkmenistan establishes national airline company

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution establishing Turkmenistan Airline open joint-stock company, reports Turkmenistan.ru.

Berdimuhamedov ordered the Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan and the Turkmenhovayollary State National Service to transform Turkmenistan subordinate air transport enterprise into Turkmenistan Airline open joint-stock company.

According to the resolution, Turkmenistan Airline will be owned by the Turkmenhovayollary State National Service, which will have 70% of shares, the Ashgabat International Airport will have 27% of shares, and the Main Air Service own 3%.

Turkmenhovayollary State National Service and the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan were given one month to submit a proposal to the government, introducing changes and amendments to the legislation of Turkmenistan in accordance to the presidential resolution.
