Investigation of fatal road accident with participation of Russian Embassy car to be handed over to Russian courts

AKIPRESS.COM - The relevant Russian authorities are conducting investigation of the road accident with participation of the Russian Embassy car on February 16 in Bishkek resulting in a human loss, reports the Embassy of Russia in Kyrgyzstan.

The issue of payment of compensation to the family of the killed citizen of Kyrgyzstan is being considered today, said the statement.

According to the Embassy, the case will be handed over to the Russian courts for establishment of the guilt of the second participant of the road accident and ruling the appropriate punishment after the investigation results.

On February 16, Toyota Prado car with diplomatic car plate D04061 while heading to the Manas airport collided with the Mercedes Sprinter. According to the Government, the car plate of 04 combination is issued to the Russian Embassy.

Later, footage obtained by authorities showed the driver of diplomatic car run the red light and crashed into the Mercedes Sprinter.

The first secretary of Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Viktor Pukhov, who was involved in the road accident resulting in the death of a Kyrgyz citizen, fled Kyrgyzstan.
