Elizabet Tursynbayeva of Kazakhstan makes it to the top-10 of 2017 World Figure Skating Championships

AKIPRESS.COM - Finland's Helsinki hosted the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2017 from March 29 to April 2.

The event determined the number of entries for each country at the 2018 World Championships and the 2018 Winter Olympics.

17-year-old Elizabet Tursynbayeva of Kazakhstan made it to the top-10 list ranking #9 among ladies with the total score of 191.99. Tursynbayeva is the 2017 Asian Winter Games bronze medalist, the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic bronze medalist and two-time Kazakhstan national champion (2015–16).

Kazakhstan's Denis Ten, the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist and 2017 Winter Universiade champion, was ranked #16 among men with the total score of 234.31 securing the ticket to the the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang.
