Turkey 'alarmed' why President of Uzbekistan hasn't still visited Turkey — report

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on April 25 arrived in Tashkent, Eadaily reports.

He plans to hold talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Parliament of the country.

The cancellation of visa regime will be discussed as well.

The report says that the Turkish side is "alarmed" that the President of Uzbekistan has not still visited Turkey, while the Turkish President has been to Tashkent in November 2016. Then the Turkish leader invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit his country. Recep Tayyip Erdogan's trip to Tashkent was called as restoration of the Turkish-Uzbek relations.

President Mirziyoyev made official visits to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia and plans to visit China in May.
