AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 26 held talks with Commander of the U.S. Central Command Joseph Leonard Votel, the President's press service said.

The talks addressed important issues of military and military-technical cooperation of the two countries.

They exchanged views on security and stability issues in the region as well. The situation in Afghanistan and achievement of peace in this country was considered among other issues.

Joseph Votel at the meeting expressed his country's readiness to continue development and Uzbek-American relations.
