AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 14 met with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the One Belt, One Road forum in Beijing, the press service of the Uzbek President said.

Mirziyoyev noted that this meeting is a favorable opportunity for exchange of views on further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

The Turkish President at the meeting expressed his country's readiness to take the relations with Uzbekistan to the higher level.

The meeting also addressed implementation of agreements reached during the talks in Samarkand in November 2016.

A special attention was paid to development of a mutually-beneficial trade and economic and investment cooperation, modernization of tourism, and etc.
