Mongolia, Russia to build renewable energy network

AKIPRESS.COM - Russian Rosseti LLC is to implement a project establishing a renewable energy network in Mongolia, reports news.mn.

Oleg Budargin, Director General of Rosseti LLC, discussed the plan with Mongolian Prime Minister J.Erdenebat on May 16.

Mr Erdenebat agreed to the request to deploy a working group to establish a 500 kWh renewable energy line between Mongolia and Russia.

This project will be able to provide Mongolia with sustainable energy. The two sides are aiming to establish an energy supply line with a capacity of 220 kWh. The line, which will be built using fiber optic cables, thereby enabling the development of telecommunications.
