AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan and Turkey signed agreements on implementation of the projects worth more than $2 billion at the session of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in Tashkent on May 25.
The delegation of Turkey at the meeting was led by Deputy Prime Minister Tuğrul Türkeş, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan reports.
During the session, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov noted that the documents proposes implementation of about 30 projects in textile, electrotechnical and construction sectors.
The Turkish side underlined that the agreements will allow to increase the mutual trade turnover up to $1.4 billion in 2017 against $1.2 billion in 2016.
