AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon today signed the first Health Code in the history of the country adopted by the Parliament on March 15, the President's press service reported.
The Health Code prohibits young doctors without experiences to engage in private practice.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection Nasim Olimzoda speaking at the meeting noted that development of the Code was initiated by the President in 2013.
The Code replaces 16 earlier adopted laws of Tajikistan regulating the healthcare sector. The Code controls the activities of the state, private and traditional medicine of Tajikistan.
Traditional medicine can not be considered as a private medicine, according to the Code.
